CHILE, Valparaiso, Banco de Valparaiso, 10 pesos, 3-1-1876, serial 09053, rare, PMG VG 10, finest and only example in PMG census. Pick-S488A. Rare in issued form and an example of the "convertible" group of issues which were redeemable in gold and silver. Very well circulated yet still showing much of the design quite clearly with the central vignette of a seated allegorical woman. A few small tears are seen around the edges but, given how heavily it circulated, these are quite innocuous.
