CHILE, Santiago, Banco de Santiago, 1 peso, 25-2-1886, serial 096659, rare, PMG Choice VF 35, finest known in PMG census. Pick-S411a. Rare as a type and for its grade, this handsome note bears only modest circulation and a bold design, which is notable for the large vignette of the barquentine Esmeralda on the reverse. Clear signatures and Casa de Moneda stamp on the front and wide margins on three sides. The sole finest example of just three listed in the PMG census and a key note for a top Chilean collection.
