NETHERLANDS (Spanish), Brabant, 48 patards, "Golden Fleece" countermark (1652-72) on a Potosí, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 1671 E. Delm-324. 26.59 grams. Very choice full countermark, deeply impressed at the top of the host coin's full pillars-and-waves, complete cross-castles-lions on other side, broad-flan XF with nice old toning, two dates and assayers, three mintmarks, minor doubling, edge crack, overall one of the best we have seen of this fascinating countermarked issue necessitated by the Potosí mint scandal of 1649-52.
