MEXICO, Chihuahua, cap-and-rays 8 reales, 1837 AM, very rare, NGC F 12. KM-377.2; DP-Ca08. A very rare date that is typically crudely struck on a small flan with weak rims, this coin being no exception, but at least it is nicely toned and shows only honest, even wear, in fact somewhat scarce in straight grade (one of just eight in the NGC census).
