^Lot 979 COLOMBIA, Cartagena, copper "imitation cob" 2 reales, Ferdinand VII, fantasy date "Ioo" (ca. 1815),

COLOMBIA, Cartagena, copper "imitation cob" 2 reales, Ferdinand VII, fantasy date "Ioo" (ca. 1815), quadrants of cross transposed, struck over a Cartagena provisional 2 reales of 1813-14, rare. Restrepo-118.1; Cal-unl; KM-unl. 3.50 grams. Glossy dark surfaces with lighter sediment in crevices, bold but slightly doubled details, the "date" of Ioo quite clear (only the second one we have handled, not the normal 8oo typically seen for this type), also with both denominations 2 visible as well as a full DE CARTAGENA from the under-coin's legend (but date missing), close to AU for actual wear and notably problem-free.
