COLOMBIA, Bogotá, cob 8 reales, (1622), assayer A to right, mintmark RN to left, very rare. Restrepo-M42.1; S-B1; KM-3.2; Cal-1534. 26.29 grams. Complete cross with choice castles-lions details and nearly full shield with most of crown above, bold assayer •A• but the date and mintmark lost to peripheral flatness, unevenly toned but rather attractive overall and very solid despite a touch of surface corrosion near edge (nearly full weight), otherwise AU.
