PERU, Lima, cob ¼ real, Philip II, assayer Diego de la Torre, * to right of castle, P to left of lion, NGC AU details / environmental damage. S-L4; KM-unl (2 for type); Cal-unl (Type 56). 0.8 gram. Scarce variety, broad flan with much legend (rare thus), bold mintmark P, full but weaker interior details, nicely toned, much more solid than most and technically among the top graded despite the "details" limiter.
