UNITED STATES, "two bit" token, countermark BOSTON on a Mexico City, Mexico, pillar 2 reales, Philip V, 1745 M. Yonaka-M2.45; Gilboy-M-2-17; KM-85; Cal-833 (host coin). 6.10 grams. Bold BOSTON countermark across the pillars side of this VG host coin, which is not documented in Brunk. Brunk notes that the BOSTON countermark appears to be the name of a person or firm rather than for the city; he offers the Boston Type and Stereotype factory as its possible origin. Holed at date, a little graffiti above the crown.
