Obverse: arms of Ecuador at center, UNIVERSIDAD CENTRAL DEL ECUADOR above, QUITO below; reverse with the arms at center, OMNIUM POTENTIOR EST SAPIENTIA above, PREMIO AL TALENTOI LA APLICACION; smooth edge. Bold UNC medal with high-relief design, richly toned fields with some speckles and hairlines, light rim-bruise at 6 o'clock.
