PERU, Lima, cob 4 reales, (1749) R, cross side struck from 8R die, very rare. S-L23; KM-unl (43 for type); Cal-unl (Type 49). 13.51 grams. VF+ with nice surfaces and toning, clear denomination 4 on pillars side and denomination 8 above the cross, flat peripheries with date not visible but a clear die-match with lot 776 in this auction (the only two examples we know of, but a typical error for this period).
