Copper wire-wrapped wooden knife handle with brass pommel and encrustation, ex-Guadalupe-Tolosa (1724). 77 grams. 5" long. Well preserved handle with lots of the original braided wire wrapped around a wooden core, intact round pommel with diamond-shaped designs, preserved encrustation clinging to the wire and core, very attractive for display. From the Guadalupe-Tolosa (1724), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic and copy of the article "Graveyard of the Quicksilver Galleons" by Mendel Peterson from the December 1979 issue of National Geographic.
