^Lot 1407 UNITED STATES, New Orleans mint, Morgan dollar, 1886-O, PCGS MS 63, ex-Busto.

UNITED STATES, New Orleans mint, Morgan dollar, 1886-O, PCGS MS 63, ex-Busto. A Choice example of this tough date, which is rarely encountered in Mint State grades due to minimal saving and widespread melting in its time. Though the date is known to be weakly struck, the details on this example are quite sharp on both sides. Its lustrous fields bear a satiny quality and only minimal bagmarks are noted on the obverse, with just faint touches of golden toning to add any color to this otherwise silvery piece. Pedigreed to the José Busto Collection.
