SPAIN, silver proclamation medal, 1789, Charles IV, College of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Madrid), unique reverse, NGC MS 61. Herrera-unl (cf 97/98). 26 mm. Obverse with right-facing bust of king within legend CAROL•IV• / D•G•HISP•R•, SA. below; reverse with sunface and rays within legend CIVITAS SOLIS IN EIVS ACLAMAT, date •1789• below, plain edge. Brightly lustrous, choice bold strike, faint surface hairlines on obverse. Note: Slab label says "Herrera-97obv / 98rev," but the reverse is not the same as Herrera-98, just has the same central design (sunface) with different legend.
