GREAT BRITAIN, copper alloy Admiral Vernon medal, 1739, Vernon and Fort Chagre / Porto Bello. AC-FCv11N. 12.23 grams. 38 mm. Choice AU with bright brassy color all over, light gray sediment in crevices, natural rim-flaw at about 7 o'clock on obverse / 11 o'clock on reverse, truly one of the most eye-appealing Vernon medals we have ever seen. XRF: 48.44% copper, 49.61% zinc, 1.55% lead.
