PERU, Lima, cob 2 reales Royal (galano), 1718 M, PCGS VF details / holed, ex-August. S-L20; KM-unl (R32 for type); Cal-699. 6.00 grams. Exceptionally bold strike, particularly the full pillars and cross, whose high points are resultantly lighter in color, standing in strong contrast to the deeply toned fields, also with nearly full legends, most prominent below the slightly off-center cross (bold king's ordinal V), holed to right. Note: PCGS label does not specify "Royal." Pedigreed to the Richard August Collection (stated on label).
