PERU, Lima, cob 8 reales, 1659 (V), "Star of Lima" type, very rare provenance. S-L5; KM-18.1. 17.62 grams. Thin and heavily corroded but with enough details to recognize the type (just not the variety), full waves and cross, patchy light toning, first of this rare type we have seen from this very rare wreck. With photo-certificate TH/PM/646 from the salvor. Recovered from: Princess Maria, sunk in 1686 off the Isles of Scilly, southwest of England
