COLOMBIA, Bogotá, gold cob 2 escudos, 1713, no assayer (Arce), NGC MS 63 (1715 Fleet Shipwreck Label), "top pop." ARCE-144; Restrepo-M66.32; S-B24; Cal-1931 (under Ph. V); KM-14.2; Fr-4a. 6.67 grams. Rich gold color, smallish flan (round) but with very bold full 713 of date outside of complete but doubled cross, nice full shield with particularly strong lions and castles (transposed as usual), muted luster throughout, currently tied with two others for finest in the NGC census.
