COLOMBIA, Bogotá, gold cob 2 escudos, 1708, no assayer (Arce), NGC MS 62 (1715 Fleet Shipwreck Label). ARCE-107a; Restrepo-M66.40; S-B24; Cal-1926 (under Ph. V); KM-14.2; Fr-4a. 6.68 grams. Oblong flan with good full shield, nearly full but slightly off-center cross harboring white coral in crevices, nearly full 8 of date (not mentioned on tag), muted luster all over, struck from known dies D4/P2p but that combination unlisted in Arce's Doubloons (mule of ARCE-107 and 112, will be 107a in any future edition or update). From the 1715 Fleet, with photo-certificate and original Fisher tag NCB3175MO.
