SPAIN, Seville, gold cob 4 escudos, Philip II, 1590 date to right, assayer Gothic D below mintmark S and denomination o-IIII to left, huge flan, NGC AU details / rev cleaned. Cal-893; Fr-158. 13.44 grams. Dramatically oversized flan (intended as a presentation of some sort?) with 100% full legends and crown, choice full interiors with every details crisp and full (including date and S-oIIII-D), also with nicely contrasting toning in crevices, superb strike overall, just a few light marks on cross side but clearly a special coin despite the grade limiter.
