SPANISH COLONIAL, mints uncertain, clump of three bust 8 reales, various kings, dates and assayers not visible. 53.29 grams total. roughly 1¾" x 1½" x ¼". Interesting clump with three stacked bust 8 reales exhibiting heavy edge loss from saltwater corrosion, apparently made of earlier coins from the wreck as the top coin is dated 1784 and bottom coin is from assayer FM. Pedigreed to the Steve Valentine Collection, with original certificate from the salvor/conservator. Recovered from: Cabalva, sunk in 1818 off Mauritius in the Indian Ocean
