BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer T (1630s), ex-Concepción (1641), mounted shield-side out in 14K gold-wire pendant and fixed bail. 33.52 grams total. Large, solid coin, silvery all over, with much shield, cross, and legend detail visible, mounted in an interesting and substantial gold wire-wrapped bezel, a circular gold embellishment and three-pronged wire bail at top. From the Concepción (1641), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic.
