COSTA RICA, San José, 1000 colones reverse paired with a Venezuela, Banco Central, 10 bolívares obverse underprint dated 18-3-1986, rare, PMG. Pick-256a (Costa Rica), 61a (Venezuela). Similar to the prior lot, this fascinating printer's scrap or test piece combines two different country's bank note designs into one note! While the PMG label doesn't have a grade for the note (unlike another example that we sold previously), this example is a very Choice UNC note with heavy embossing and bold ink colors on both sides along with great paper originality.
