COLOMBIA, Bogotá, gold cob 2 escudos, Philip IV, assayer R below denomination II to left, mintmark NR to right (1640s), PCGS AU55. Restrepo-M50.23; S-B21; Cal-1803; KM-4.1; Fr-2. Choice full shield (slightly off-center) with nearly full crown above, full NR to right and partial II-R to left, well-centered full cross-and-tressure (slightly doubled), all in lemon-yellow color with contrasting sediment in crevices. Note: For reasons unknown, the PCGS label says (1644) even though it is not a die-match with any known examples of that date.
