PERU, Cuzco, gold cob 2 escudos, 1698 M, RX error, broad flan ("Lima" cut), NGC MS 64 (1715 Fleet Shipwreck Label), "top pop." S-CZ1; Cal-855; KM-28; Fr-4. 6.73 grams. Lustrous and very richly red-gold in color, well centered on a very broad and roundish flan that extends past the outer borders of dots in places, naturally with full legends and nice inner details (the pillars very slightly doubled), currently tied with eight others for finest in the NGC census. From the 1715 Fleet, with original State of Florida tag E 73188.
