PERU, Lima, pillar 4 reales, Charles III, 1762 JM, very rare, ex-O'Brien, ex-Fleming. Yonaka-L4.62; Cal-819; KM-63. 13.32 grams. Low-contrast AXF (faintly toned) with no problems except for a very minor lamination flaw to left of left-hand pillar, rated R4 in Yonaka, but this coin not the single example observed and pictured in Yonaka (plus we have been able to trace at least four others). Pedigreed to the John O'Brien Collection, with his tag, and to the Fleming Collection (Aureo & Calicó auction of November 2020, lot 1467).
