PERU, Lima, gold bust 1 escudo, Charles III, 1767 JM, second bust ("rat nose"), very rare, NGC XF details / cleaned, finest and only example in NGC census, ex-Almenara. Cal-1331; Fr-unl; KM-72. Brightly lustrous and rich gold in color but with bust a tad weak due to slight concavity, minor natural flaws on reverse, full rims, this type missing in Friedberg (should be 27d) due to conflation with subsequent type. Pedigreed to the Almenara Collection (stated on label).
