SPANISH COLONIAL, Mexico City and Potosí, clump of six cob 8 reales in dark debris, assayers not visible. 162.82 grams total. roughly 2¾" x 1¾" x 1½". Fallen stack of very solid, uncorroded coins, the topmost two (one Mexico, one Potosí) cleaned and separated enough to see clear shields, thickly encrusted on bottom with evidence of spike or similar, great display of well-preserved coins. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
