PERU, Lima, gold cob 4 escudos, 1750 R, mule with 8E cross side, ex-Luz (1752), mounted cross-side out in 18K gold pendant with fixed bail. 20.09 grams total. Interesting variety with a large, 8 escudos-sized cross and castles-and-lions with full date at 5 o'clock due to doubling, sharply defined if slightly off-center pillars with partial date but clear assayer and some legend detail, Mint State with lustrous surfaces with spots of red-gold toning.
