GREAT BRITAIN, copper alloy Admiral Vernon medal, 1741, Vernon and Ogle and Wentworth / Cartagena, ex-Adams. AC-CAvow2B. 13.54 grams. 38 mm. Dark but evenly worn XF with nice surfaces, strange design with Wentworth added as a disproportionate figure to right; XRF: 55.77% copper, 42.29% zinc, 1.23% lead. Pedigreed to the John Adams Collection (with his hand-written tag).
