Bold date, the mintmark and assayer covered by brown encrustation, lightly to moderately corroded overall, mostly dark. With original leather box containing small certificate (unsigned) from the Chairman of Lloyd's of London. Recovered from: HMS Lutine, sunk in 1799 off West Frisia, Netherlands
