SPAIN, Seville, gold cob 8 escudos, 1681/0/79 S, very rare (unlisted), NGC MS 61. Cal-unl (Type 181); Fr-217; KM-168.2. 26.80 grams. Rustic beauty with extremely bold full S•S to left of full but off-center shield, good full cross with 100% full 81 of date (a bit messy from the under-digits 79), with much red-purple toning on fields, missing in Calicó and an important coin for the 8-escudos specialist.
