COLOMBIA, Bogotá, gold cob 2 escudos, Philip IV, assayer A below mintmark NR to left (ca. 1635), NGC AU details / edge filing, tooled, ex-Mesuno Hoard. Restrepo-M50.13; S-B20; KM-4.1; Cal-Type 386; Fr-2. Choice full shield with clear assayer to left, very nice cross, lustrous all over with rich red-gold toning around the rims, some scratches near the edges. From the "Mesuno Hoard" (ca. 1636), with Sedwick photo-certificate from 2008.
