MEXICO, Mexico City, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer P, ex-Concepción (1641), mounted in 14K gold bezel with shackle bail. 31.44 grams total. Solid piece with silvery, somewhat corroded surfaces though still possessing a bold mintmark, assayer, and some shield and cross detail, securely mounted in a simple gold pendant setting. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his Concepción contract with the Dominican Republic.
