PERU, Lima, cob 8 reales, 1660 V, "Star of Lima" type, variety with L-8-V to left, LVS [sic] / * / VLTRA / 660 in center, very rare. 23.58 grams. Good full cross-lions-castles, 100% full crown above off-center pillars with bottom-right portion corroded but rest very clear and showing L-8-V to left and LVS (missing the P) above a six-point star in center, date at bottom only barely and partially visible, contrastingly toned where not corroded, rather rare and especially so as a shipwreck find. With original (generic) certificate from the salvors. Recovered from: Piedmont, sunk in 1795 off Lyme Bay, Dorset, England
