Great Britain, cast silver Admiral Vernon medal, 1741, Vernon / Cartagena, rare, ex-Adams. AC-CAv2B. 14.15 grams; 38 mm. Beautifully toned AXF, probably polished long ago, cast on a slightly convex flan (lacking the high rims mentioned in AC), with minor rim-bruise and tiny nicks. XRF: 83.73% silver, 9.50% zinc, 5.74% copper. Pedigreed to the John Adams Collection (with his handwritten tag).
