Bogota, Colombia, 1/2 real, 1847 RS, NGC MS 68, finest known in the NGC census. Restrepo-177.18; KM-96.1. Bold details and nice luster, incomplete rims due to slightly off-center strike, exceptional grade awarded for the fact that there is not a single tiny mark or bit of wear at all, making this the single highest-graded Colombian 1/2 real of any period and therefore important for the collector of "finest knowns."
