Great Britain, copper alloy Admiral Vernon medal, 1739, Vernon and Fort Chagre / Porto Bello, ex-Adams, ex-Chao, ex-Ferrari. AC-FCv11N. 12.60 grams; 38 mm. AU with original brassy color and luster, some high points weak, stippled obverse fields, dentillated rims, overall superior to the AC plate piece on page 151 (British Museum). XRF: 38.58% copper, 52.73% zinc, 6.34% lead. Pedigreed to the John Adams Collection (with his handwritten tag), the Fernando Chao Collection, and the Jorge Ferrari Collection.
