AXF with bits of original color and faintly lustrous fields, probably a late die-state, rated scarce in AC, which says: "If one were collecting Vernon medals by type, this 'gauntlet' portrait would pose a challenge." XRF: 41.70% copper, 52.46% zinc, 4.56% lead. Pedigreed to the John Adams Collection (with his handwritten tag).
