Great Britain, small copper alloy Admiral Vernon medal, 1739, Vernon / Porto Bello, ex-Adams (plate). AC-PBv43SS. 5.02 grams; 27 mm. Dark AXF with bold details but flat face, the obverse rim higher than usual, described on tag as "struck on cast flan." XRF: 62.97% copper, 27.14% zinc, 7.86% lead. Pedigreed to the John Adams Collection (with his handwritten tag), plated on page 78 of Medallic Portraits of Admiral Vernon (2010), by Adams and Chao.
