Great Britain, copper alloy Admiral Vernon medal, 1739, Vernon / Porto Bello, ex-Adams (plate). AC-PBv19N. 21.53 grams; 38 mm. Dark coppery VF struck from worn dies, a few small marks. XRF: 41.98% copper, 52.83% zinc, 3.79% lead. Pedigreed to the John Adams Collection (with his handwritten tag), plated on page 62 of Medallic Portraits of Admiral Vernon (2010), by Adams and Chao.
