Mexico City, Mexico, 2 reales, Charles-Joanna, "Late Series," assayer O/L to right, mintmark oM to left (oM-O/L), rare, NGC AU details / tooled. Nesmith-110a type; Cal-unl; S-M10; KM-unl. 6.75 grams. Nesmith listed only two examples seen and this variety is slightly different from those, but rare nonetheless and important as showing alternations between L and O as assayers of the mint. A well-struck example with especially fine details on the pillars side, all legends and details visible. Pedigreed to the Clyde Hubbard Collection of Mexican Charles-Joanna Coinage (stated on label). Accompanied by original tag or holder.
