USA (New Orleans Mint), Seated Liberty half dollar, 1858-O, 1 in border variety, NGC Shipwreck Effect / SS Republic label. Interesting variety with the 1 in date erroneously punched low and into the border at first, then corrected. AU with patches of surface corrosion yet other areas quite lustrous and untouched. With special NGC SS Republic label and blue holder.Recovered from: S.S. Republic, sunk in 1865 off Georgia.
