Great Britain, copper alloy Admiral Vernon medal, 1739, Porto Bello / Fort Chagre, ex-Ferrari, ex-Chao, ex-Adams. AC-FCv16X; Betts-291. 12.68 grams, 37 mm. Dark UNC, a bit sharper than the one pictured in AC, interesting obverse legend IN MEMORY OF ADMIRAL VERNON. XRF: 39.64% copper, 52.45% zinc, 6.52% lead. Pedigreed to the John Adams Collection (with his handwritten tag), the Fernando Chao Collection and the Jorge Ferrari Collection.
