Philippines (under Spain), cast lead barrilla, Philip V, 1743, very rare, ex-Trastamara, Calico Plate Coin. KM-Pn7; Cal-40. 3.85 grams. Brown in color with tan encrustation here and there, with full but crude devices including crowned shield on one side and ANO DE 1743 around large R in central ring on other side, first of its kind we have seen or handled, from the first coinage series ever made in the Philippines. Pedigreed to the Trastamara Collection (Aureo and Calico auction of October 2020, lot 421), Plate Coin #40 on page 259 of Calico's Numismatica espanola (2019).
